MAİD’s work is carried out by nine directorates organised by field of expertise, coordinated by the Presidency and the Secretariat General. Each directorate gathers field data, prepares reports and forms the platform’s position in its own area.

How the directorates work
Directorates operate through working groups drawn from the membership. Each sets a work programme at the start of the term and reports to the Presidency at its close. Meetings are open to all members active in the relevant field.
The Secretariat General
The Secretariat General ensures coordination between directorates, reviews membership applications and manages correspondence and institutional relations.
